Coffee Journal is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

1.0 Data Collection and Storage

Coffee Journal does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.

1.1 Local Storage

• All brew logs, equipment data, coffee information, and tasting notes are stored locally on your device
• Data is stored using Core Data with SwiftData on your iOS device

1.2 iCloud Sync

• If you enable iCloud sync, your data is synced to your personal iCloud account using CloudKit
• This data remains in your personal iCloud storage and is not accessible to us
• You maintain full control over your iCloud data through your Apple ID settings

2.0 What We Do NOT Collect

Coffee Journal does not collect:

• Personal identification information
• Location data
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Device identifiers
• Any information about your coffee habits or brewing patterns

3.0 Apple Intelligence

Coffee Journal may use on-device Apple Intelligence features to analyze your brew history and suggest parameters:

• All ML processing happens entirely on your device
• No data is sent to external servers
• You can disable these features at any time in Settings

4.0 Third-Party Services

Coffee Journal does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

5.0 Your Rights

Since we do not collect any data:

• There is no data to request, modify, or delete from our servers
• All your data is under your control on your device and in your iCloud
• You can delete all app data by deleting the app from your device

6.0 Children’s Privacy

Coffee Journal does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

7.0 Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
